i'm grateful my 09 Acura MDX still has one (a 6 disc changer to boot), but my optical drive on my old PC died a few years ago, so no more rips

modern cars dont. i didnt have one in my 2016 cruze. so its been at least 10 years

Huh I have a 2016 and def have a CD player and my mom's newer car does too! But I'm sure they'll be phased out completely soon. Not surprising. But I love having a backup CD in the glove compartment in case my phone sucks and Spotify doesn't work

“Working on making a file” from someone that had to go buy a cd player has me dying at whatever quality this is going to be and how the art of ripping music is apparently, like making a pdf, going to be a thing one generation knows how to do and one generation only.

 

ideally an optical drive for a legitimate rip, but i guess most people think putting it in a CD player and making a recording on your phone will suffice
