This is the funniest line I've read in a while.

Every artist does deserve to be compensated for their work, but I feel like you would maybe have to retroactively pay the past performers because it would look like “hey I did this for free even though I should have been paid” (and I am assuming artists in the past have asked) and having the NFL bow to Taylor’s request but not others in the past would probably annoy some past performers. I wonder how many people have tried to get the NFL to pay the artists before Taylor (assuming this is true).

Ophelia seems to be the single and it's probably coming with the full album Thursday night and then music video Friday, if I were to guess

I don't think that would happen... if anything maybe people would be grateful since she could set a precedent for performers that come after her. I just don't think it's a good reason to not pay people now because people who didn't get paid in the past might get upset.

Wife and daughter are going to the film Friday after school. Curious how that goes. Pretty much sold out showings all through the weekend

Wife and I will be seeing TLOAS in theaters on Sunday. It was really fun when we saw The Eras Tour!

Maybe technically a premiere but it'll absolutely be online too

I have almost zero hype for this album at this point, I don’t know what has been so jarring about this rollout, but it doesn’t feel like it is capitalizing on a “showgirl” theme. Nothing about this has felt big or grand…at least not yet. Here’s 10 album covers in different color font…I don’t know!

I am predicting that “Wi$h Li$t” will be the worst song on the album and “Elizabeth Taylor” will be the best.

As much hype and promo as the last two albums before release

  21. She's been pretty one note in recent years, so I kinda have an idea of what to expect from her. I'm only curious if Max Martin made some true classic bangers again, or if it's kinda lackluster (for lack of a better word) like most of his more recent stuff has been.

I think switching up producers was a good first step to break up the said lackluster few albums (that said Midnights is in my top 3 TS albums and that's 100% due to the production haha).

I know, but something about this just feels different. I cannot rationally explain it.

    I’m the problem, it’s me.

I think it’s just that they front loaded a lot of the important news like the track list, album cover and a bunch of the other promo shots so then we were left with weeks of nothing or just variant announcements. She’s doing Jimmy Fallon and Graham Norton which is already more than TTPD in terms of in-person promo and I imagine there will be more in-person promo too. For Midnights she only did those two but I feel like for this album she wants it to be massive.

One of the reasons TTPD didn’t feel like an era to me is that it was kind of shoehorned into the whole Eras Tour era and also had zero promo. I think that (along with the fact that Fortnight was just an okay single) is why the album did not break through to the general public last year. This album already seems way different, but we shall see.

There's also a chance the track list would have been held back for it's own reveal, but the leak got in the way
