I wonder how the album will fare because of that. As we saw last year with TTPD, none of the songs really “broke through” to the general public in the way Sabrina, Chappell, Charli and Billie’s songs did. It makes me wonder if upon release day they will just go all out with trying to get a song to stick like with the aforementioned artists/Cruel Summer in 2023.

You don’t bring Max Martin in to not release a single designed to dominate radio.

  3. Probably doomed. Just can't see it doing well without radio.

I just don't think TTPD had a sticky radio single on its (very long) tracklist. "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart" would have done better if it had been the lead single, but it wasn't an "Anti-Hero."

If the rumors are true this album is full of bangers, then I’m expecting they already know it’s going to be huge for sales and singles metrics. If we get anything even close to what I’m hoping for (I’m thinking 90’s vibes), then I’ll be so happy and content. Just a few more weeks…

Oh it’s going to do well, I just meant songs “breaking through” to the general public which TTPD struggled with a bit.

Yeah I feel like this will have much higher potential for hit singles than TTPD did.

I also really like getting to experience a new album all at once without any singles to give an idea of what it's going to sound like.

Even without a single sales will be fine. With the multiple variants and cds she’s likely already over 1 million copies sold in the us.

Each limited edition vinyl had 100k available in the us

2025 needs a really seismic pop hit, so I hope this album delivers. Feels like it will.

That Morgan Wallen / Tate McRae song has to be horrendous, right? No way it's good at all

Wow I had no idea Luther was such a huge hit.
I've also never even heard 4 other songs on that list. Man I feel old.

That Alex Warren song might be the worst pop single of 2025, absolutely hideous

i'm very lucky to have avoided the Alex Warren song, so i'll take everyone's word for it that it's as bad as it is

Just listened to it for you. It's less bad than I expected.

The Wallen/McRae song is absolutely better than this Alex Warren song. Some real worship music vibes from this thing.

The Alex Warren song is just truly awful. 2025 has been pretty rough looking at that chart.

Ordinary is a fine song but I’m surprised it’s as big as it is. idk if this is any way musically/genealogically accurate bc idk any other of his songs’ or their genres, but it just sounds like a toned down retread of that weird 2010s era anthemic-pop-indie-electro-rock sound a la bastille, imagine dragons, etc.
