That's what I would be thinking if she hadn't made such a point about there being no more songs coming.

I'm thinking it might be a single.

 

I mean, she's said Life of a Showgirl won't have a service edition or bonus tracks, she didn't say that there wasn't an entirely separate standalone album

I wonder if she'd be interested in breaking arbitrary chart records by releasing a bunch of pre-release singles. feel like she could drop a song a week until Oct 3 and have a new #1 every week.

I think it'd be more like her trying to beat Michael Jackson's Thriller record of most number ones from a single album. Streaming totally neutered the ability for post-release singles to chart high once the album is released. If she's trying to keep to this "12 songs, all bangers" narrative, my suggestion seems like a way to numerically compete with the biggest pop albums of all time.

Let's be serious: if this is about a single, it will probably be an announcement for a single coming later this week (but I would LOVE to be wrong)

 

Pleeease don't be a single Taylor I have like 700 albums coming out this Friday...

 

I really want to hear it, but I’d much prefer no singles. Especially with only 12 songs. If it is anything like 1989 the entire album will hit the radio and be run into the ground by the end of the year, so I’d rather prolong the inevitable for as long as possible.
