I get that it's Taylor Swift but why do we need a pre-announcement to the announcement and a countdown to announce a movie tie-in song lol

I'm almost expecting a release of the Taylor's Version CD player needed to play these things. One song on a CD is annoying.

Gracie Abrams has a song called "I Knew It, I Know You", maybe they are sister songs

Let the variants begin. At least producing lots of plastic shit is on brand for a movie about toys.

I was going to say, "I swear this song was already on that Gracie Abrams album from a couple years ago."

And omg, are we really playing the variant game with a fucking Toy Story song?

just give me a 7" with the song (if it's good) and we'll call it a day. don't need any alternate versions. there's only been one time an alternate version of a song of hers has worked for me (the alt. version of Christmas Tree Farm), and it never even got a physical release.

Do a 7-inch with this song on one side and a cover of the Sarah McLachlan song from Toy Story 2 on the other side, and call it good.

the song is a return to her country roots

i'm assuming if there are piano and acoustic versions of this, it's probably gonna be on the slower side/more ballad-y. from what i've heard about part of the plot of this movie, i wouldn't be surprised if it's something in the same vein as When She Loved Me, but why knows?

edit: a press release all but confirms as much. supposedly Jack did co-production.

Ah yes I must pre order all the different CD’s with a single song on them

Simply could not have just put 3 songs in one CD. Why would we do that ? Makes too much sense.

on a positive note, as a folklore fan I’m happy to see her standing in a field again
