One of the most capitalist queen things I’ve seen is the button where you can add all three variants to the cart at once. Edit: Sorry for the lack of cropping.
I say this as someone who likes this album: Imagine thinking The Life of a Showgirl is an album you need to own multiple vinyl variants of. I think variant collecting is pretty dumb and wasteful in most circumstances, but a non-canon album from a juggernaut pop star, that will be readily available for the rest of time, is definitely low on the list of candidates.
By that I just mean: not one of her best albums, not a meaningful evolution from her past work, and not an album that has any of her best songs. It will not be mentioned in her obituary and is not vitally important to telling the story of her career.
Ah yes but when her personal life is so tied to her career both from her fans and from her own team, this will go down as the Travis love album
Rank her discography!? My album ranking ended up being this, which I pretty much agree with, I think: 1. Red 2. 1989 3. Fearless 4. Folklore 5. Evermore 6. Speak Now 7. Reputation 8. Taylor Swift 9. Midnights 10. The Tortured Poets Department 11. Lover 12. The Life of a Showgirl
1. Folklore 2. Reputation 3. Red 4. Lover 5. 1989 6. Fearless 7. Taylor Swift 8. Evermore 9. Midnights 10. The Tortured Poets Department 11. Speak Now 12. The Life of a Showgirl This feels about right if I'm really letting myself be honest about how much I love Reputation
Red Folklore 1989 Evermore Speak Now Fearless Reputation Midnights The Life of a Showgirl Lover The Tortured Poets Department Taylor Swift This seems pretty accurate. Lover is the one I really struggle with, because it has 6-7 songs I absolutely adore but is more or less a complete failure as a full album.
If I'm being true to myself: 1. Reputation 2. Red 3. Folklore 4. 1989 5. Speak Now 6. Fearless 7. Midnights 8. Lover 9. Evermore 10. The Life of a Showgirl 11. Taylor Swift 12. The Tortured Poets Department If I'm being as objective as I can be: 1. Folkore 2. 1989 3. Red 4. Fearless 5. Speak Now 6. Reputation 7. Evermore 8. Midnights 9. Lover 10. The Life of a Showgirl 11. The Tortured Poets Department 12. Taylor Swift 7-11 just have far too much filler or too little substance that 1-6 just have in abundance.
