An Orange album titled The Life of _____ can't be just a coincidence, right?

  2. When I wanted her to change it up on the collaborative front, I didn't mean going back to Max Martin lol but I'm curious to hear more info

I don't really see anything off about the fingers. It looks real to me.

    Oh, ok.

Hopefully it’s better than the amorphous blob of “yeah, this sure sounds like another Taylor Swift song” that the last album was.

Glad I did not stay up for the non-announcement, “pre pre-order,” and crashing website.

I'm gonna hold off until there are different vinyl options. "Glitter" variants usually have bad surface noise and don't sound very good.

We reach for the longest shadow

I'm all for some pop bangers from Taylor, it's been too long.

  14. Reputation is a top 3 Taylor album for me so I’m excited about the producers on this

For sure excited about this. I like Jack and Aaron but it was time to move on. And also I’d like only one Max Martin album as a “reset” and then maybe find some fresh blood moving forward.

  16. Will Yip era next haha

We reach for the longest shadow

I have full confidence this would rule, and I bet their degree of separation is a lot closer than we'd probably guess, haha

I wonder how this era is going to go. Last era was a quite muted era despite being on the charts forever and all the additional variants. It will be interesting if she continues that “muted era” theme or is more “out there” in terms of say, promo or releasing singles, music videos, etc.

I get the feeling this is going to be the opposite of the last one in many ways.

  22. Once again seeing if I can get into her before this one drops. I know I like folklore and then Reputation and the last one (each to a degree), so I'll start there and maybe dig deeper.

Was never super hot on 1989.

  23. Her going on the podcast already feels like the opposite of the last era

I suspect she was working on this album between European dates in summer of ‘24 much like she was doing TTPD during the summer/fall of ‘23.

It also puts us full on for another “too much Taylor” period for the 20th anniversary TV release of the debut next October since they’ll be spaced out/she can drop debut in the middle of the next tour.
