People will panic buy secondary market and then things will calm down next year. Always the same.

 

Blink 182 resale prices still haven’t dropped and it’s been over a month

 

I mean that is stub hub with fees but I have no clue. Hopefully they drop like $400 by like right before the show

 

One month is nothing when these shows are 7 or 8 months away. People have to play the long game.

 

I honestly don’t think they will drop especially if dynamic pricing was worse then what people Thought it would be

 

Figured it'd be 500-600 to get into the building for these so this is not surprising at all.

 

Because she's gonna sell out every single venue and then it'll happen again with someone similar and on and on. If people find a way to pay, chargers gonna charge it.

 

No way theses cost more then 1k face value even with dynamic pricing. Theses prices are with fees.

What an absolute disaster, shit show, and colossal fail this was.

 

After the long pause, I'm about 2/3 through the queue with 2000+ still ahead of me.

Still in the seat geek queue for Arlington. Not even halfway through and it has been almost 3 hours.

 

Tickets start at $115 for Metlife. No thanks.

 

That's only $140 after fees...you mean it's not good value to pay $140 to watch a show from the last row of a football stadium? I'm sure you'll get a chance with more affordable options in the future, maybe she'll do a festival or Central Park show in NYC eventually?

My code finally worked but by that time, there was like nothing left so I just scrolled about waiting if any more popped up. I was finally able to snag 2 VIP floor seats. $1735 after fees.

Just going to drop in this bit of ticketing advice...if you don't get tickets today do not fall for the Platinum/VIP packages that upcharge for no reason. Do not buy from scalpers for 5x the price.

Be patient. Wait until the week of the show and ticket prices will return to face or close to it.

 

That's still somewhat of a gamble although, in certain areas, if there are 2-3x nights then, yeah, definitely don't panic buy.

 

My partner went from 2,000 in line to 10 in an instant and had like no issues once they got to the page. 2 tix in the mid-level in Chicago for like $410 total.

 

Yeah, I've seen her three times before, so I'll wait to see if prices drop. This was more about a Christmas gift for my parents, but only at a lower price point. I'm surprised that these were ever (supposedly) starting at $49; the demand for these can obviously fetch significantly higher prices than that.

 

I will say, though, that Ticketmaster not being prepared for these presales, despite using Verified Fan, is a little baffling. I'm wondering how much of an effect the site not selling any tickets for around two hours this morning contributed to the dynamic pricing happening as it did. (Maybe not at all, but I don't know.)

 

I mean, there's 50 something dates now and if you assume 50,000 people per show attend, that's 2.5million tickets. Set the tickets at $100 each flat, and that's 250 million. I get that it takes a LOT of people to make these shows happen, and I except nothing but the absolute best in stage design, but at what point does it become price gouging?
