Just saw a tiktok where someone played back to December and said something like "remember being a kid and crying to this song in your room." A kid?? Back to December???

 

I was 9 when Back to December came out….

 

I was 24…

 

I was 14 but somehow never heard it at the time

 

So was I. But looking back, I’d also describe myself as a “kid” until the age of like 29.

 

I think I was 20.

 

It was about half a year after I finished college and I had just started my first full time job

 

I had just turned 21. MBDTF overtook any listening to Speak Now. The Story of Us is one of my favorite music videos from Taylor.

 

The first Taylor Swift song I remember listening to was Teardrops On My Guitar. I was 5 when self-titled came out. My mom was a fan and both of my parents love country music, so I grew up with Taylor and her music just brings up so many childhood memories. She’ll always be one of my favorite artists and holds a dear place in my heart

if he's trying to get her to remove her stuff from Spotify, she's definitely not gonna do it...

 

Never say never, she was one of the last holdouts for streaming for a while, she could make a big statement by threatening

 

as much as i think she would under normal circumstances, she's still currently in a fight to reclaim her master's, and thus still has 4 albums she doesn't have the rights to. she could remove Lover, folklore, evermore, and both current TVs, but probably couldn't get any of the other BM recordings - meaning that not only will her work still be partially available, but that people will be drawn to listen to the old versions instead of the TVs (which is counterproductive to her mission to rerecord). i definitely don't think she's against pulling the music due to COVID misinformation, it's just that it would be a terrible move for business.

 

I wonder how long before we get the rerecorded 1989, and how different (if at all) it will sound
