Haha good. Stay away. But they all hate the band’s last two albums because they had co-writers which then makes them bad at writing songs and they need Tom back, blah blah blah.

 

Seems like if this is true it must be Taylor. Adele isn’t doing a major tour and Beyoncé hasn’t announced her album yet, which leaves just Taylor. Harry is doing stadiums but not until 2023 so too early to announce. Getting tickets to this tour is going to be insane.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but a Taylor Swift and Damon Albarn collaboration would be interesting. He got Noel Gallagher on a song after some beef, so I don't think it's impossible. :)

 

I love Gorillaz, but this is such an accurate representation of a lot of their stuff.

 

So I don't know if cowrite translates differently when talking about songwriting, but he's praising Billie and Finneas for ...cowriting... songs then saying Taylor doesn't write her songs and cowrites don't count. That's a complete contradiction isn't it?

 

it's misogyny. He takes Billie's music seriously because he likes it. He doesn't like Taylor's, so he devalues it. Guarantee he doesn't do that with men, including the ones in his own band. That he writes songs with.

Men often give "good girl" stickers to women they approve of while writing off the ones that they don't. It's how the "pick me/not like the other girls/I'm a cool girl" archetype became a thing.

 

To be honest, I've never heard of Damon Alburn and his monkey band. But word on the street is they have, like, only three good songs?

 

i think i only know one of their songs and i never really was a fan of it. so that sounds about right.
