So some Reddit and Twitter users are discovering that some of Taylor's unreleased songs are showing up on Shazam with the new Fearless album cover. There's more than 6 that are showing up though, so either it's an indication of what the bonus tracks will be, or it's nothing and just a coincidence. It's at least some possibilities.

These are some or all of the songs that people have noticed are showing up:

Today Was A Fairytale (we already know this one's going to be on the album)
    Breathless (Better Than Ezra cover)
    Crazier
    I Heart ?
    Dark Blue Tennessee
    Need You Now
    One Thing
    Revenge
    Closest To A Cowboy
    Long Time Coming
    Tell Me
    Never Mind

I’d love a recording of that “Breathless” cover.

If it's that many showing up, it's gotta be a mistake

Finally listened to the Ringer podcast on Red. Some good stuff there. Felt like they could have gone deeper on that album (maybe there’s a directors cut). It was....refreshing? nice? to see someone like Nathan essentially say that ATW is boring musically.

I felt like both of the hosts had difficulty “rating” the album because it has some of her highest highs but also is long and could have songs cut. I agree with that sentiment as I see Red as her magnum opus. But it could also be shorter. I truly feel that for someone like Taylor she should just make every album 13 tracks but make the deluxe seem more normal. Because for me everting past Fearless could be cut to 13 tracks and seem a LOT stronger as an album.

@bobby_runs this reminds me of my failed post asking people to rank her albums if they were only your 13 favorite tracks each

I’d be more likely to say Red is a perfect album. And if we could move bonus or remixes in 1989 would move up a lot higher too.

    This is a bad take!

Nathan has some interesting perspectives, and I appreciate his very industry-minded views, but some of his opinions so far on the songs themselves have been kind of wild to me. "Back to December" as the best song on Speak Now? No way!

I actually attempted this in iTunes playlists with every album. Got them down to 13 songs. Never ranked them, haha.

I mean, "Back to December" is up there for me... though, as I said a few days ago, I'm far lower on the album as a whole than a lot of you are. The best for me is easily "Sparks Fly," but just glancing over the tracklist, "Back to December" could be my second or third fav on there?

"Back to December" is probably bottom three on Speak Now for me. It's fine, but I think there are just much better songs on that album.

I have a feeling that, if I forced myself to rank the whole album, you'd strongly disagree with some of the tracks I'd have in the bottom half, lol. My very strong personal preference for Fearless colors my opinion on a lot of Speak Now's songs. Glad it speaks [now] to you & others in this thread more than it does me, though!

Listening to "Back to December" right now for the first time in quite awhile, & yeah, I feel pretty good calling it my second fav on here? Though, it does remind me how long a lot of these songs are. I love me a good long song, but this 14-song album having so many in the nearly-5- to over-6-min range is probably a big part of why it's aged poorly for me.

The opening trio of Speak Now are my top three songs on the album, typically landing on Sparks Fly as my favorite.

I don’t mind the length of the songs on Speak Now. Songs like “Dear John,” “Last Kiss,” and “Long Live” get a lot of their majesty for me from really having that space to build (and for Taylor to really pack a lot of detail into her lyrics). “Back to December” does those things too, I just find the melody somewhat lacking, so it doesn’t have the momentum for me that a melodically richer song like “Enchanted” does.

Long Live, that's the good shit

There’s a head canon of mine where Long Live and Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince happen at the same high school.

I always skip back to December but some of that is also due to being overplayed on the radio when it released

Omg I always thought the cruel summer lyric was "in the glow of the vending machine, I'm not buying." Like it was his turn to buy the snacks because #equality but also maybe she's cheap cause it's only a vending machine

Trying to imagine what the first single from Red would’ve been if she didn’t go back in the studio to write WANEGBT and IKYWT and 22. Would it have been the country version of “Red”?

  24. Yeah, "Red" seems like the only choice for a first single. Without WANEGBT, 22, and IKYWT, the album is pretty much only slow jams. "State of Grace" has some energy to it as well, but that one doesn't really feel like a single to me.

Ah yes, noted slow jams "Holy Ground" and "Starlight."
