There was a rock weekend too, spent more than 12 days straight in Vegas (in a shitty cigarette-smelling hotel room). Do not recommend.

 

I'm very curious what she decides to do with the self-titled debut, since that will almost certainly be a dud sales-wise compared to everything else. From my perspective she should do 1989 as a solo moment similar to Red and then release the other three at the same time. They just don't have the same hold on the popular imagination.

 

I *just* got one of my orders two days ago and I have another coming this weekend…and yes there’s a third that still hasn’t shipped SOS

 

I saw someone on TikTok say that she should release TS (TV) last because it would be the final power move to “own” her name.

I think Speak Now, 1989, and rep will all get big moment releases still, though. They’ve all got multiple monster singles and had first week debuts above 1m copies.

I’m curious if vinyl delays are what’s slowing it down from what I assumed was going to be a rapid release project before it got started. I expected to have the first five before she could do rep this November, but she’s treating them more like full album rollouts (well, for smaller artists; they’re nothing like the rollouts she usually has pandemic twins not withstanding).

 

The only album I’m dying to listen to in full is Debut. I’m so curious to hear what she does with that album. I’ll be bummed if it’s last haha.

 

She’s making a ton of money on these (especially Red) so I imagine that’s causing everyone to play it slow, space it out, avoid oversaturation. Vinyl delays aren’t going to affect her because they can bump people and reserve large pressings. She can’t do a surprise release but if she’s circled a date more than 2 months out people will make it happen.

 

I can see her releasing the debut last because symbolism or metaphor or whatever idk the difference, sorry to my high school English teacher. But debut is one I'm most excited for. I like 1989 and Rep but they still feel so recent to me that they don't have the same excitement to hear re-done or to re-live the era.

Not only am I excited to hear the debut because I enjoy it but I'm excited for people to realize they've been sleeping on it.

 

Yes! I can't wait to watch people short circuit when they realize it's maybe not so easy to put Debut last in their album rankings anymore haha

 

I've still never heard it so the new version will be my first time.

yeah, every other album, i just want to hear the vault songs. debut is the only one i am looking forward to hearing all of.

 

I can never find any good reputation hiit dance workouts so I think I'm going to choreograph my own. We will see if I have the same level of dedication and follow through several weeks from now When it comes to Executing my genius plan
