"Sweeter Than Fiction" would probably make more sense for 1989 since it came out after Red and was produced by Jack. But who knows?!

Yeah, of all the past collaborators, The Civil Wars seem the least likely to come out of the woodwork for this re-recording project.

 

The Hunger Games songs were never owned by Big Machine so re-recording them is not necessary

 

I never know how rights work to soundtrack songs, because they usually say something like "[Artist] appears courtesy of [label]."

 

definitely depends on the situation, but the Hunger Games Soundtrack was released by Republic and she's now on Republic... so it's definitely possible that there's less incentive to re-record them
