I’m not set on 1989 vs evermore, or on Taylor Swift vs Lover. I let nostalgia tip the scales in both cases, but if I did this ranking again in a few months, who knows.

 

Also can we talk about how the original You Belong With Me says "I'm in the room it's a typical Tuesday night" and I didn't realize it until she re-released fearless and changed it to "I'm in my room." I never noticed she said "the" but why wouldn't she have made it "my" from the get go???? "The" is so weird there

 

I think the last two just accelerated her to seeing that she doesn’t need to be so autobiographical in her lyrics. DBATC was very that and could have also led to the same conclusion.

So I think she will only grow as a songwriter from here on out and we could possibly see her do more co-write for other artists.

I was a little buzzed back in late 2019 and bought $600+ tickets on the field at Gillette Stadium. Upset because I’ll probably never be dumb enough to make such a large purchase like that again and be so damn close.
