1989 and whichever of last year’s albums I like better at any given time are my top 2 with ease. Top of her game. I find ranking the rest hard because I have no nostalgia for the early stuff, and half of both reputation and lover are amazing half mediocre.

    1989
    Folklore
    Lover
    Evermore
    Red
    Fearless
    Speak Now
    Reputation

I guess. Although it's hard because Red/Speak Now have my absolute favourites on but I'd never want to listen to either of those in full.

Lover is her most maddening, for me. Could have been a masterpiece, but it’s so cluttered and so tonally all over the place, and not in the way Red is where that’s part of the point/the thematic purpose of the record.

Idk it kinda feels like a sequel to Red and it's not nearly as all over the place. It almost feels like a calmer version to me, the highs aren't as high but the lows aren't as low. I know you disagree on that haha. I would have cut a bunch of both records though. Honestly I'd cut most of her stuff down but there's gems on every record (aside from Reputation for me).

I only listened to the album like 3 times so I never got attached to any of them, even that one which was nice enough. Looking at my ratings on RYM that was the only one I gave 3 stars to lol.

I too err on the side of Evermore>Folklore I think but I'm surprised at the gap between them here. I don't find them all that different in tone or quality. I do think the lows are higher and fewer on Evermore, but that's about all that separates them for me. The 2 or 3 absolute songs from the set are on Folklore imo.

Could not disagree more. Respectfully, of course. I think she just nails the sadder songs on Evermore. Coney Island -> Ivy -> Cowboy Like Me destroy me every time. I like that even within the context of that sound, I think that it's a more diverse album, and her only album that has absolutely zero misses.

Red would be closer to me if Stay Stay Stay (my least favorite song by her) and a few of the other slower ones on the back half weren't there. But the highs on Red are so unfuckwithable that it still is my number 2.

It's hard to rank her albums cause they all suit a different purpose. If I want motivation at the gym Reputation is great. If I want to belt out teenage nostalgia melodrama that holds up, it's her first two. 1989 is fun for revisiting an existential crisis in your 20s lol. Etc etc.

I'm Currently in my own personal Reputation Era, so yeah, trying to rank her albums is impossible for me.

It’s so hard to rank them. Depends on the day sometimes.
Lately I’ve been rarely listening to her albums as a whole. I have a playlist that has every single one of her songs and I just throw that on shuffle and go along for the ride.

It’s hard for me to rank her discography, and I honestly feel like I hold many unpopular opinions haha.

    I do not exist.

I’m still waiting on the forthcoming TVs so ranking for me is fairly straightforward: folklore & evermore are clearly more my style (although not sure I can choose between them) and then 1989 closes out my top 3 as her best pop album. I don’t feel like I’ve spent enough time with Fearless to rank it effectively.

Lover & Reputation at the bottom - both seem too bloated but have high highs. Very high highs indeed.

In fact, it’s a bit like ranking dessert this. They all tastes quite sweet and delectable. I agree what @Kiana said, there really is something for every mood (and that’s just in the five albums I’ve actually heard!)

This is funny, but my biggest gripe about TikTok is how cringe it is to see people lip sync and how they stare directly at the camera so awkwardly.

And why do they sometimes have text and the person is pointing to the text for WAY TOO LONG! It doesn't take me like 30 seconds to read one sentence. It's so painfully awkward.

I hate when their caption is right where the tags and stuff is on the bottom so you can't even read their caption. But I'm not a tiktok hater I'm a fan at least the ones that pop up on my algorithm are usually pretty good. I've discovered a lot of new music and good fitness tips. Although it did lead me to buy a lot of plants last year that are definitely all dead now
