Surely she wouldn’t buy them back as she knows that’s an overpay as they’ve been devalued a lot because of the re-recordings.

 

Genuine question, have they devalued? My friends that are big fans still pick the originals over them. I'm not deep enough in this to know what the general consensus is. But I for sure can see her doing it and repressing all of them again. She'll make the money back. lol

 

A lot of the Swifties seem to think so but that could just be them with their stan goggles on. I don’t really know how you would figure that out though, maybe by seeing which get more daily streams?

 

I’m sure someone will pop in here with the stats. Or I hope at least lol

 

If she buys them back (which she sold) she and her team will figure out how to maximize that into more profit haha

 

She buys it back and cancels rep/st TV

 

I do not trust anyone who listens to the re-records instead of the originals.

 

I don't think she'll cancel those TVs - those will still bring a ton of money in haha (plus one would assume rep is already in production)

Because they are across the board much, much worse.

 

I don’t think they have nearly as much as one might think. She’s still the biggest pop star of this generation, her songs are played no matter which version is up.

And while it seems like an overpay now, just imagine if someone worse buys them after she passes. Her hands are tied a bit but she can afford it and not even worry about it. And she’ll continue with the re-recordings (or just pull them, I dunno) because of who she is.

Yeah, the re-records are mostly ass. When they come on the radio, the uncanny valley feeling is almost immediate.
