Idk why I just processed that taylor dating kelce has her in the Midwest a bunch. I mean it makes sense cause I feel like if she never got famous she'd either be a WASP or a Midwest casserole queen but it just dawned on me that she's in Missouri lmao. Sorry to all the chorus midwesterners I mean my spotify wrapped told me my taste has most in common with Wisconsin whatever that means so no hate, but that's so funny to me for no good reason. I also didn't realize he was like a good or popular player but my dad set me straight. Makes sense. she wouldn't be caught dead dating a flop but I'd truly never heard of him before her.

So....... I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but there are MULTIPLE reports, photos, videos of a 1989 TV misprint that is out in the wild... with one very important difference

it lists "Slut!" featuring The 1975, complete with new verse/lyrics

saw this about a week ago. since there was only one documented record with the misprint (which you can see in the TikTok linked here in my old post: https://forum.chorus.fm/posts/5829616), there were suspicions that it was Photoshopped (especially given how other coworkers are distinguished with an ampersand throughout the liner notes and not the word "and", which is what's shown here). since more have come out, however (in addition to a few subtle design differences between this variant, the original tangerine variant, and the blue variant), it does indeed seem to be legit.

i will say, regardless of my frustrations with The 1975 nowadays, i'm glad Matty isn't on the final version. her second verse at least reads a lot better than his. i have no clue how his would flow if it followed the cadence of hers.

 

I definitely don't want to get too deep into the drama of it all, but there of course is the discussion of WHY she didn't release it. Mostly I just want to hear it.

 

i'm also curious how the timeline of their split and the record pressing process interacted. despite her stardom, it still takes time to cut a lacquer, press a record, and ship it out. they split in early June, so it's safe to assume that 4½ months was a reasonable-enough time to send in new masters, get stampers cut, and press and ship everything for 10/27. the question is, is there another lacquer with the other version? because despite the sleeve leaks, nobody has gotten the audio yet, which leads me to believe they locked that shit down right, but messed up on discarding the sleeve.

 

I still don't even think they dated, but again... trying not to get into it hahaha
