    totally with you there

one of the reasons the vault songs completely blow me away is because, outside of the 1989 bonus tracks and a few other exceptions, taylor b-sides are often her worst songs

(the rerecording has made me realize "come in with the rain" is good as fuck tho)

Which songs would you slot into each of those categories? I find that the songs I like a little less from the original album (particularly the last two) are the ones I enjoy most here.

As for Keith, I like his feature a lot. It's a reminder that he can actually be quite enjoyable when he's not losing himself in garish pop-country like he has been on his past few albums. He's also an underrated duet partner. Not sure if you've ever heard this song, but he's great on it:

I've had this same thought. I'm not usually super blown away her b-sides, but these are terrific.

This project is worth the price of admission for tracks 14-26, but I respect what she’s doing in regards to tracks 1-13.

Probably the most succinct way to describe my feelings on this particular release.

"We Were Happy" would fit on Red.

“Breathe” and “Come in with the Rain” have most struck me as particularly beautiful on this relative to the original

I agree YBWM sounds really strange but I quite like the title track!

I was truly shocked at how much I enjoyed Keith Urban on this

It’s been... 17 years or so... but his live show is still one of the best performances I’ve seen. I’ve lost track of his music since then, but circa Days Go By he was a charismatic force.

I know absolutely nothing about Keith Urban, but I actually saw his headlining set at Stagecoach one year because I was working at the fest and he was very enjoyable

My biggest contribution to Keith Urban discourse is that we did not roast him enough for “Female”

  12. I always confused Keith Urban with Toby Keith, who is a piece of shit

I think “You Belong with Me”, “Breathe”, “The Way I Loved You” and “Change” are even better.

Everything else I put in the “good live album” category

Except “White Horse” and “Tell Me Why” which are a bit of a downgrade for me.

I am in love with this whole thing, so much that I think Red’s gonna have to give its “favorite” crown back to Fearless. I’ve just been feeling so alive listening to this & remembering how much I loved it, & falling back in love. Such a big, sentimental album for me.

I’m trying to remember, was it you who was ready to ride into battle for “The Best Day”?

If by “was” you mean both when the album first came out & very recently, then yes. And, I still am now, lol.

Hah I have to say this version made me appreciate it more than I did before.

Also trying to figure out whether she pitched it down a touch for this version, or whether there was always an alternate-tuned guitar in there. You can hear it REALLY clearly in this version.

Surprise has a literal meaning that is seemingly being ignored here

@bradsonemanband are these vault songs you linked earlier in the thread part of the ts0 playlist you had?

  22. I don’t think any of these vault songs were on my TS0 playlist.

I didn’t think so either, but I saw you linking them and assumed maybe I missed something

  24. Yeah, I was linking to the original demos that are on YouTube, but wasn’t linking to my TS0 stuff.
