Taylor was dethroned as my number 1. She's been 1 every year for me as long as I remember. I thought olivia would steal the spot and olivia was 4/5 of my top songs but Paramore claimed the throne

 

she made it to number 2 on my Apple Music Replay, despite not regularly listening to her for a while now (i guess i did a good amount of early year listening of Midnights)

 

26.1 billion streams for Swift since January 1st, and with Spotify paying out roughly $.003 per stream, that's about $78.3 million paid out to her. Wow

 

She was my number one most listened artist, but the highest ranking song of hers (“gold rush”) was all the way down at, like, 23, and the next highest way lower than that. Just spent lots of time with much of her discography I guess.

I was amused to see her take all five of mine, lol.

 

I’m still waiting for Taylor to be on an episode of SVU

Taylor being “Time’s Person of the Year” makes a ton of sense. And, that cover is one of my favorite professional images of her, ever.

But also, thinking about that distinction… wow, this year really was the tipping point of me being sick of her as a public figure. It’s gotten so exhausting, lol. She was my most played artist this year and will continue to get lots of plays going forward, but I’m pretty over the person behind the songs. Oh well.

 

I can see why you'd be fatigued, for sure. But I think for me it's less about Taylor herself and more about her insane fanbase and publications posting about her. Taylor is just playing shows and going to football games haha. That's pretty much all she's doing publically on her own.
