Taylor keeps it festive! 1989 taylor's version sounds SO good ! brings me back to 2014, great memories, great early b-day present. still holds up a decade later!

 

Finally.

 

My wife has played 1989 TV on repeat, and now I am listening myself on the best speakers we have, and I think I am at the point where the uncanny valley issues have subsided and I am enjoying it for the new piece of music it is. Took a bit, but I'm able to stop obsessing over every single second being different and just letting it roll

 

Would be really interesting to find someone whose first listen of the albums are the TVs, like... I am sure there are young kids who are going to grow up with these being the definitive versions, especially due to how the streaming world works. I find that pretty interesting in retrospect.

 

tbh i never listened to Fearless in full until the rerecording. i had obviously heard songs like Fifteen, Love Story, and YBWM, but never gave the rest a spin, so i didn't have an older frame of reference to draw on when Fearless TV dropped save for those songs. hearing clips of the OG now is like a night and day difference in vocal delivery, so i don't see myself going back to the OG anytime soon.

 

Would you say you have listened to Fearless TV pretty often? I do wonder what you would think if you went back and listened to the entire original album at some point

 

yeah, i've spun it a decent number of times since its release. i might go back and listen to the OG at some point.

Is there any chance that Midnights doesn't win Album of the Year at the Grammys? I feel like she's had such a massive year that there's really no other possible outcome. But the Grammys love to do weird shit!
