TV New Romantics slaps even harder

 

I’m curious how it’d sound to make a playlist of vault songs and put it on shuffle. Without having compared them that directly yet, I’m inclined to think they resemble each other as much as they resemble their corresponding albums.

Thankfully, I’m really into modern Taylor, so getting this steady stream of new tracks from her is fun.

 

Literally just did this today/had a similar thought about the vault tracks

 

New Romantics TV sounds horrible to me, haha. Wonderland got improved, though.


Goes to show just how wild and weird this whole process is.

 

My 4 pack of cds are at the ups location 5 min from my house yet delivery still says tomorrow. If they sit there all day and I don’t get them today I’m gonna be pissed. They are closed on the weekends for pick up which sucks

Congrats on slaughtering New Romantics... outside of that, this is the best TV so far.

 

I recall that Taylor said Tegan & Sara "Heartthrob" was a big inspiration for 1989 - can really hear that on Say Don't Go

 

I appreciate genuine enthusiasm coming through in reviews, but man, Rolling Stone's writing about her has gotten so cringey. It's like reading an unhinged stan's Twitter feed.

 

Rolling Stone has been irrelevant for years. giving that surprise U2 album 5 stars, even if it wasn't that bad, was a sign of that irrelevancy. and even though he's gone now, the fact that Jann Werner stuck around so long and got away with so much bullshit (including his recent comments about non-White, non-male artists) speaks volumes.

 

Rob Sheffield's list ranking all her songs is completely insane. "The Great War" at 17 is particularly hilarious. That song might not make my top 17 from the Midnights sessions!

 

Deranged list. Literally lol'd at "Coney Island" at 21 (and I'm a big National/Matt fan).

Every single Taylor Swift ranking on a site that lives off ad revenue clicks… is a ploy to get clicks, and that’s it, lol. Any time you look at one and talk about the weird choices, whoever wrote it wins.

 

Lol, I’m not against a music writer making money, believe it or not. I just think his opinions are bad!
