I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but they are stopping selling physical because people aren't buying physical from them anymore

for the vast majority of American consumers, sure, but it still stings.

i did hear recently that Walmart has the largest in-store physical media presence in the country, but their selection is kinda shitty. and nearly every disc i've bought from Amazon has come damaged, so i avoid them like the plague.

 

speak of the devil, they just sent me another gift card (i'm a Criterion Channel subscriber), so now that's $50.

 

Walmart absolutely leads physical. I could say a million things (this is literally my job haha) but yeah, best buy doing this isn't shocking unfortunately

Looks like Regal has the discounts still, $13.13 vs $19.89 for adults.

 

Had a great time tonight. People were acting a little crazy during the higher points - Rep, 1989 etc. But honestly better than I expected. It was cool to hear a room of kids from (notoriously shitty) Long Island shout “shade never made anybody less gay!” Gives me hope!

I've been trying to listen to her discography before seeing the film tomorrow, and I think so far, Speak Now might be my favorite?

 

Speak Now doesn’t have much of a presence in the movie, so don’t expect too much from that. But a great album regardless!

i think i read somewhere it caps out at 5 or 6? i know some PG-13 films have gotten away with at least a couple, but i'm not familiar with any others that reach that many.
