my hope is that it's just a demo or something. frustrating to see folks who spent money on any of the other variants get the short end of the stick here.

 

I'm all for capitalism but man it feels like bleeding your fans dry at some point.

 

another possibility is that it might be a digital only track, which if it's readily available elsewhere, i'm down for that.

i think they had rights to the deluxe for Speak Now here in the US, iirc

 

Correct. The Target version of Speak Now had her in a red dress instead of purple, and had a couple bonus tracks.

 

What if the bonus track is the "Love Story" 1989 tour version...

 

hoping for Sweeter Than Fiction if it's a full song and not a demo, tbh. not gonna cancel my existing preorder until we know what the extra song is.

 

I don't think it'll be a demo because I believe those would still be owned by her old label, I'd assume.

There's apparently a "tangerine" vinyl variant exclusive to Target that will have an extra bonus track. I kind of hate her vinyl strategy.

 

at this point, i'll probably end up picking it up directly from Target on release day if the extra song is worth it. no reason in waiting 2 weeks for a standard variant to ship from her store when i can drive a couple miles and purchase it myself (plus Target can't ship vinyl records directly to consumers to save their lives, so in-store purchase it is)

 

I had Speak Now (TV) delivered to my door with no issue.

 

i've seen too many horror stories where people's Target orders have been shipped with minimal protection. only one i've ever ordered from them online was Lover, and thankfully it came in good condition, but others haven't been so lucky, lmao.
