It's the last night of the US leg of the Eras Tour.
Apparently today is 8 years, 9 months, and 13 days from 1989's original release date.

My clown car is all gassed up and ready to go.

 

realistically, what are the chances there's some sort of announcement tonight? since it is the last show of this leg, it seems like a good time to say something is on the way, but i'm not sure how keen she'd be to announce two new releases in 3 months. just doesn't seem likely

 

I mean, with Taylor, who the hell knows. She released 2 brand new albums within 6 months of each other. Why not announce 2 re-recorded albums a couple months apart? We'll see what happens. But I won't be surprised if she announces something, and I also won't be surprised if she doesn't mention anything new whatsoever haha.

 

I get why people try for out of town but also of course it makes getting tickets impossible

 

1989 tv next year would coincide with her 35th and the ten year anniversary so there's a good chance it's next year

 

She's honestly done a pretty amazing job at sticking to no regularity or patterns so that she can always surprise her fans. Honestly, the fact that so many people think something will happen is why I think it won't, because she loves a surprise and this wouldn't be surprising to them

I think the 1989 announcement will come during the break she has coming between her last Mexico City date on the 27th and the first date in Argentina November 9th. If it Doesn’t happen then I don’t think it will happen until early next year before the tour resumes
