This brings back one of my favorite hypotheticals: If "Cruel Summer" is the Lover lead single, does it snap the number 1 reign of "Old Town Road"?

Yeah it's only on the charts because of what has happened since Lover came out, it would have been a whole different story back then

 

Any Taylor Swift lead single is at least getting close to the top of the charts, so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to wonder what would have happened if the Lover leadoff single was actually good.

 

I’d also go as far to say at least You Need To Calm Down is as equal in quality to Old Town Road if not better. A fun song, sure? Far from being “good.” (Old man yells at the cloud take, I know.) But #1 hasn’t ever been a marker of quality for the majority of tracks that make it there.

 

That yellow background pic is weirding me out. I feel like they photoshopped two different halves of her face together. Her right eye looks further apart and different idek maybe I'm crazy but I feel like I've stared at her face enough to know something looks off lol

Also wild is that Madrid/Spain is getting only one night. I suppose Camp Nou being unavailable in Barcelona next summer affected that, too. Cardiff makes a smidge more sense.

Yeah I think now until end of '24 will be TV releases, can't imagine she adds another era in the middle of this 2 yr tour--but I also know to never count anything out when it comes to her

 

146 shows at 3 hours a set is 438 hours of performing. Or roughly 18 full days of her life she'll be on stage for this tour alone.
