If I recall correctly, he still works with Big Machine. So I don’t think Taylor even asked.

 

I think the prevailing theory is that, since he's still a mainstream country music guy who does work with Big Machine and other labels in that orbit, it wouldn't be worth it for him to come in and do these projects and risk pissing off someone who might have the power to blacklist him. I'd imagine he has working relationships with both Borchetta and Braun/their artists.

Christopher Rowe is very obviously on the team to recapture that country sound, and he's had a long career working on country records, but it's not a one-to-one comparison.

They're currently projecting Taylor to have 5-10 on the chart next week with Cruel Summer at 5, I Can See You at 6, Karma at 7, Mine at 8, and then just two more from the re-release.

 

I think I missed something. Why is Cruel Summer suddenly hitting chart highs recently?

Getting around to the main album re-record right now, pretty good overall. Most importantly, the giggle in "Speak Now" is still perfect and doesn't sound fake or forced, PHEW

mine currently says to expect it tomorrow. it's been moving. it's in wyoming at the mo.

 

I mean they’re probably trying to figure out the logistics of shipping an entire warehouse full of her records, so I’m not surprised it hasn’t moved haha

 

Also with BIG orders leaving at the same time the item likely won't get scanned until it hits your local distribution center.
