Their covers aren’t for everyone. Some are good some are bad. I didn’t personally listen to it just saw it and shared it. The singer is a huge swiftie

 

I would think the PR value she gets out of the "news story" of changing a lyric is higher than maintaining the lyric. It's not like it's a song that would get a lot of syncs off that lyric anyway.

She's a grown ass woman if she feels weird with something she sang as a teenager that's reasonable

 

Im just saying if the whole point of the exercise is to drive every listener to the new recordings changing the line is not going to do that. You are going to have a sector of listeners that will swap in the original recording

 

Same with Girl At Home though, which is a much bigger change, she obviously doesn't care if a few songs aren't absolutely identical

 

I personally hope there's more songs on Speak Now and the other TVs going forward that are tweaked a little bit, like "Girl at Home."

 

I would love to hear all the songs mixed and changed like that, but I also understand that's not the main point of the project haha

 

some glow-ups are definitely welcome by me. I'd love to hear the entire debut album (other than maybe the big songs) be done in a new way so each song sounds more modern or whatever.

Sounds like her father may have inside info that her catalog was being sold, 5 days prior to her knowing. Not sure of their relationship, but seems weird he wouldn’t have told her.

Also, if there was anything shady going on from her end, certainly Scooter would've disclosed that by now...
