Very interesting. My library OCD prevents me from deleting songs. Thankfully there's Apple Music so I don't have to worry about it.

The album is good, btw. It will be stuck in my car for the next several weeks. I still like Lorde's Melodrama over this, though.

 

and in comparison he "got punished" , it took him like 5 whole years to get a redemption tour, the stuff with him and Karrueche was somehow even more terrifying

I can't get through Getaway Car. The similarities to songs on Strange Desire are too strong for me to take it seriously, it comes off like a parody without the jokes. Cheese factor in that key change is off the charts too and not in a good way

 

I've grown to really like the album but I don't get the love for that song. It's fine.

 

Yep, it's not like a horrible song or anything but every time it comes on I would just rather be listening to the actual Bleachers record

 

I don't like Jack Antonoff much in general. I think he makes everything he touches worse. See also: the new St. Vincent album.

 

I really like the key change. I also love that song but hate Bleachers, probably mostly due to the difference in vocals.

I've actually noticed a lot of similarities on the album to Bleachers and even to Some Nights. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things honestly felt like it could've fit on Some Nights. I can hear Nate singing it honestly.

(Which is really the highest praise I could give a song. Love that one.)

 

This album is tons of fun. Early favourites are I Did Something Bad, Delicate, Getaway Car, New Years Day and Ready For It.

I actually really like End Game too :$

Holy shit. Not surprising but holy shit. I'm starting to wonder if the 2 million is a conservative estimate.

 

Crazy that the article says that as of now the highest selling album in the US this year is Ed Sheeran's with 909k sold. Taylor is gonna sell more in 7 days than Ed sold is 7 months.

 

She's gonna outsell 1989 with lesser music and less promo like just hand her the keys to the world apparently

I would cut Gorgeous and Call It What You Want. I’m SOLD on the rest. Even LWYMMD. Kinda wish it was the opening song with ready for it following it.

 

I'd cut "End Game," "So It Goes," and "King of My Heart." The latter two just feel like filler.

 

These are my three least faves as well

 

I really like end game and so it goes. I like the whole album actually. I know I’m in the minority but I really don’t care
