"Look What You Made Me Do" felt weirder in the context of the album to me. It really stands out.

 

I like it more in context too, but I also liked it a lot originally

 

Gorgeous is much better in context.

 

there's been so much good music this year I've been concerned that there's gonna be no one left to release music next year haha

 

The singles she released are definitely the oddballs of the album

The "On to the Next One" verses on Ready For It are so bad but that chorus is so good

 

Having a Future verse on this is pretty crazy

 

End Game is a jam idk what people were talking about with this

"I'm gonna keep your jeans and your old black hat they look good on me you're never gonna get them back" is totally something Taylor would aspire to write

I just looked it up and OMG

 

I feel like people say this every year and then the next year is just as good/even better.

 

Hot take: I am indifferent to this album

Songs had moments I found interesting or good, but then they were often mixed with choices I did not like. I think her vocals sounded a bit more ambitious for her. I thought some lyrics were bad but they didn't bother me for the most part. Except when she whines about the drama and crown being taken away. She acts like she was sitting on a golden throne and lost her seat and had to claw her way back or something?? It's like u got a cramp in ur ass and had to readjust ur seat, sis, but ur fine. Chill. I will prob end up taking like 3 or 4 songs off of it and leaving the rest. About 3 or 4 others struck me as bad, and everything else I was indifferent to/wasn't memorable enough for me to remember an opinion about it.

 

I think I have 5-10 so far, but like almost every pop singer save Carly Rae Jepsen released an album this year

 

I think 2016 was a better year overall for music, but this year has been great too.

New Year's Day man.... that's the shit I like.

 

I feel like Lorde released a better version of this record earlier this year. "This is Why we can't have nice things" sounds like it could be on Pure Heroine or Melodrama.
