But, uh, the Cam'ron mixtape just dropped so I'll be stopping this whenever that finishes downloading. Listen to Cam'ron's New Mixtape 'The Program'
Though their Ed Sheeran review was a publicity stunt. They gave it like a 2.8/10....and spent the entire time just criticizing him as a person. (I know a lot of people despise him but....that's similar to them giving all the MO albums .1 more each review starting at 5.6 lol)
I didn't like 1989 and I'm not huge on this direction for her so my expectations are kinda low but I'm still assuming I'll like some of it. Im not overflowing with anticipation but I'm not counting it out either. But yeah I am just not huge on this sound for her. I loved the video of her writing Gorgeous on the guitar with the original lyrics. To me that's just where she shines, and this kinda stuff isn't. This sort of pop music and even the sort of performances she's doing now just isn't what suits her for me. I think she can explore other genres and has done so well, but Red was her sweet spot and peak.
it’s not bad. i like the second half a lot more. still a lot of this feels like it was spun through the song machine, and kinda lost touch with what i love about her most. i don’t think pop music has to be divorced from heart and songwriting -- honestly my favorite music is when those collide, but i don’t feel like that happened for a lot of this
New Years Day is fantastic. This is not an excellent album, nor does it have the highs of 1989 or Red, but it's decent
I actually like this quite a bit. Not on par with Red or 1989 like others are saying, but still enjoyable overall.
Haven’t listened to this just yet. But judging by this thread this has all the makings of an album that people will eventually love. Think I’ve seen someone like or love each individual song on here. Usually a recipe for a grower. Edit: Just started. Give every verse to Future. T Swift on chorus and pre chorus. Get rid of Ed. “End Game” would be far better.
Yea. Just a guess. I just started this. “Delicate” is the first standout. Everything else is faceless so far.
Album's out for less than 10 hours and people have takes has to be my least favorite thing about music commentary.
no! i listened to it in full four times! i can usually tell how i feel about a thing after spending hours with it
So far aside the from the "big reputation" part I like "End Game" more than any song released previously.
