i read on twitter she pushed the release date for nz/aus to sat so it wouldnt leak in north america early

Will it really make that much of a difference, though? I feel like the impact of leaks is pretty negligible at this point, especially for someone who does the preorder numbers she does. Plus, it's just going to leak the moment it goes on sale, and since she's not streaming, some people are definitely going to download it. I mean shit, I'm not buying this album sight unseen based on what we've heard so far.

 

I think they just want to get as many sales as possible so they're doing all they can to make sure that happens, even if that means pushing the date for certain countries who could possibly hook the US up with it. But yeah, I mean, a leak WILL happen. And even if it doesn't leak until release day, I'm still downloading it before I buy it because so far I'm not impressed with the music that's come out, ha.

 

im surprised she hasnt announced the tour to get the bundle sales - isnt that the main reason pink got those high first week numbers? or maybe shes planning that for next week to avoid a big drop ?

 

She isn't doing bundle sales, she's doing the opposite. With Pink you got a cd with your ticket, for Taylor you have to buy CDs for a chance to get tickets (although I'm over simplifying it)

Tour is going to be announced late November so that people can't cancel their preorders after they buy tickets

 

I know Dress has had some provocative lyrics, but hearing a snippet of the song....it uh....sounds like actual intercourse

i'm expecting to like that song as much as i hate the title. so far i think this record is hideous lol

 

i like "don't blame me" ok, that would've been a good single

 

"delicate" is awesome, first song i'm enthusiastic about without qualifications, depressing it took me four songs to get there on a taylor swift record

 

I actually didn't mind that one.


The lyrics in most of these though are...uh...

 

i am not paying attention to the lyrics, which is also depressing for a taylor swift record

 

that was just painful

 

I mean no offense....but unless you're a big supporter of hers, I can't see how these lyrics would be anything but cringey and something to laugh at.



Getaway Car is the best of this batch so far. Very 1989.
