When artists wait to stream an album I suddenly become a stubborn child like fine, I just won't listen to it until u do or I'll catch the leak!! Ha! Tho these are usually records I'd never have bought in the first place. Cause my streams are so significant obv. And then I usually forget to ever listen to it. I only have like 3 artists I buy records from and the rest I stream tho. And Taylor is not on that list in red underlined.
I honestly wish more artists windowed their releases, mostly the indie ones though. Physical sales get so much more money in the artist's pocket, it's nice to have a window dedicated to that
I think it's smart if a popstar can do it cause coins aside so many times the first week numbers are padded by overzealous stans buying multiple copies and then they have a huge second week drop. Putting it on streaming makes the second week drop look less severe which lessens the potentially negative articles about how far it fell.
The fact that a song co-written by Taylor, Chris, and Adam was even in the cards is pretty incredible. Add Jack as a producer into that mix and it would probably be my favorite song of all time haha. Definitely agree that it doesn’t seem likely for this record.. but man what a thing to imagine
I don't like Future, but I love him on Ariana Grande's "Everyday," so the idea of him on another pop track intrigues me
This shit is so dumb Taylor Swift's Upcoming Album Won't Be Immediately Available on Apple Music and Other Streaming Services
Lol I don't typically care about tracklists so I told myself I'd pretty much only be disappointed if Ed Sheeran was on it. Oh.
Speaking of Red I listened to it for the first time in forever recently and the lucky ones is a much more interesting look at celebrity than anything on Reputation so far. I always skipped it when Red was first released so I kinda forgot about it. I liked how it touched on the way women are built up and then torn down once they age out and someone else comes along to take their place.
For zero reason at all I have high hopes for Getaway Car. My brain is trying to convince me it’s related to All Too Well for no tangible reason.
Who is in charge of her visuals this era? I know Joseph kahn her super Stan is doing her videos but like who decided she needed font on her chin.
"I Did Something Bad" is a terrible song title but I'm excited for the record in general and, as always, anything Future does.
I had a similar thought, listening through Red a few weeks ago. Frankly, I think a lot of 1989 was also a more interesting look at celebrity.
One thing’s for sure: if she streams before a week is out, it means she’s close to a million and not sure.
