Her videos like this and Bad Blood definitely remind me of big budge action films / superhero films... Cool to look at, I guess, but not much substance haha

 

Yeah, I really don’t see the point in this video. At least “Bad Blood” had some cool cameos.

 

This one at least has more plot than than Bad Blood haha, nothing happened there.

The point of this seems to be along the lines of "the fake Taylor in the box is actually the real Taylor all along" and how that alligns with real life, that everything people call her "fake" for is actually just her real self.

And yeah, I think you’re right on the second point. Makes sense with the direction she’s going.

 

Bad Blood was fun I guess in that look at all my c and b-lister friends kind of way

Had no replay value tho cause nothing rly happened. It was worth seeing the one time and then it's like yup okay there they all are.

 

now that you mention it, I honestly don't know if I ever saw it a second time

 

That music video was fun in a dumb, big blockbuster kinda way. But, it was kinda weird to me in that it felt like the vision for it was "create a new trailer for that Ghost in the Shell film." I could totally see Taylor Swift being someone who'd hear Scarlett Johansson's ridiculous white feminist defense of the film and 100% agree with it, lol.

 

I feel like it's too high concept for the song, Bad Blood made more sense for me to be extreme

 

Watching this and comparing it to the new songs/videos just makes me laugh, haha! ....sigh

 

...Ready For It is so good. I thought the video was pretty cool as well. Surprised I haven't heard this one much on the radio yet. I still hear 'Look What You Made Me Do' a lot.

 

I 100% thought the album came out today for some reason and came here to find out if it was good. Bummer

those reactions are so luke warm. either they want to be asked about themselves and not their more famous friend, or they just have very mild reactions, haha.

 

I'm picturing her making them sign a NDA , she would totally do that, I read it as secrecy versus lack of enthusiasm

 

yeah, that's a good point. maybe they aren't allowed to say anything more than that. i'd hate to be famous and make my friends sign NDAs about shit. i'm suuuure post of the bigger celebrities need to do that, right??

Do y'all think she really likes those things on tumblr herself? At the start of the era I thought she didn't but since she's not doing interview promo it seems like she's using likes as her way of speaking on things so I'm thinking it may actually be her. I can't always tell if things are liked because she just wants the fans to feel happy and like she cares what they say, or if she genuinely agrees with them. Cause sometimes they get a lil ridic lol

 

I think sometimes it’s her but a lot of it is Taylor Nation- only bc sometimes they disagree abt which posts to like and it’ll be unliked after a few hours. I assume that’s Tay giving the nix. There are like update blogs that keep track of her likes and unlikes.

Unless she announces Fallon or something before that looks like the live debut of her new music will come out after the album's release huh

Also this is coming out a week from Friday
