I've never heard the song in question but given that "All You Had to Do Was Stay" is my favorite song on 1989 that's probably a good thing because I would've had a rage ulcer.
Swift has never recorded a song that was 100% - or even mostly - written by someone else. Why would she start now? That chorus is peak Taylor. The rest of the song is what's a departure from her usual style.
Ready For It already got integrated into a class I take at the gym. Really was a great song for that sort of thing.
this is so, so, so, so horrible.... but i can't stop the video. ok nevermind, stopped it at the chorus
I never said she didn't write her own songs, just think Max had a huge influence on that chorus. Best pop songwriter of the last 20 years!
Sometimes I forget how deep Taylor's YouTube page goes. There really is a ton of gold hidden in there, stretching back so far. Anyway, digging this video today
It's completely and utterly silly, but you better believe I would be fuckin stoked as hell if I could get anything I was working on to be on the side of UPS trucks
Guess it depends what you mean specifically. It broke records on YouTube, still is. It's atop the Hot 100, it broke records for radio adds, it's all over the radio constantly, ummm there are a ton of metrics that are all positive. I guess critical review is the only place that isn't 100% positive, but that dichotomy is probably helping more than it's hurting
