Also think of the first part of Linkin Park's song "Wretches and Kings" when I hear the bass.

Don't know if it's on purpose or not but the song definitely reminded me of when her and Calvin Harris rented an entire island for a getaway.

the verses sound extremely familiar, I actually really like it musically, grittier and dirtier. I think I still like LWYMMD more though

Not gonna lie I actually like this one haha. LWYMMD is definitely catchy but I still found the hook a little annoying (even though it's definitely grown on me), whereas this is anchored by a really strong hook and I actually find the sound of the verses/pre-chorus pretty cool. Maybe I'll like this album after all.

 

I'd say the chorus is solid. But I can't take half rapping T Swift seriously. We're talking Iggy Azaelia level bars here.

 

I wonder which song will end up being a bigger hit. I guess it'll be hard to compare since they are out so close together.

 

Eh, it's alright. LWYMMD is better just because it stands out more.

I get the complaints for it and it's pretty standard fare for what the sound is but I enjoyed it

 

the chorus is pretty top notch, the way she sings "In the middle of the night, in my dreams" feels so classic Taylor
