Like it better the LWYMMD, and I like that one alright. Wife is happy with it, and that's all that matters to me, really.

 

I really enjoy the pre-chorus vicals. The verses are God-awful to me. Not liking this one overall.

 

Yeah there are good parts but this might be the most generic song she's ever done.

(Obvious hyperbole, but I feel like you can turn on pop radio any time today and hear 5 better versions of this song.)

 

Kinda get a Sleigh Bells vibe from this one.

 

I think I like LWYMMD better.

 

Maybe I just expect something more unique/interesting/a step above from her, but this is just unbelievably generic.

Yeah, I don't know about this one. This rapping and EDM-y sound isn't my favorite for her.

 

Really strange to release the second single at 9:00 AM on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend.

Verses are atrocious but the chorus is really catchy on this one.

 

Britney did it better ten years ago

This is...okay? I think I like it more than "Look What You Made Me Do." The vocal melody on the chorus is great, especially on the "take my time" part. I'm less sure about the verses, but she totally commits to them, so they work better in execution than I expected from reading this thread.

Not sure I like this as an opening track, though.

Don't like the verses...but why is the chorus so boring until the last chorus? I like the chorus melody, but it's pretty bland when nothing else is going on. I understand doing that for the first chorus for a bit of progression, but I think it's a poor choice to leave the full chorus til the last one. Disappointed after hearing the good part of the song in the preview, but still like it better than the first song. So 0/2 for me.

 

I think the chorus is pretty soaring from the beginning. She's 2/2 in terms of making songs that fit perfectly on commercials, too.

 

I like it better than LWYMMD but I still stand by my comment abt it sounding like something Rihanna would pass on. I like the Sleigh Bells vibe for sure. I do hope there are some more alt-pop songs on the whole album.
