I have a really hard time believing that Taylor and her team, devious as they may be, would do anything as tasteless and gross as that to try to "get back" at Kanye and Kim. Between that and the album release date controversy it feels like people are looking for any reason to vilify her even more.

 

Or it's reference to her speech about when she said something about "sitting in a bathtub of diamonds crying."

 

Yeah I doubt she'd do that after she's had stalkers

I hate that I have to defend Taylor lol but she's not that monstrous

 

I don't really buy any of it, particularly the album release date and I think I saw the bathtub scene in the video was a reference to something she said about her critics thinking she bathes in diamonds or something. Still, I think she gets a lot of benefit of the doubt because of who she is that other people, even other celebrities, particularly of color, would not be similarly granted. She did have a beef with them, and the optics are there, even if unintentional.

 

Plus there's a single dollar bill in the tub.

 

(And it's like everyone forgot the 'Famous' video which actually was gross.)

i am not the biggest swift fan, but i dont think the kim connection is intentional. i seriously hope it's some kind of oversight by her team. but i wouldn't put it past Joseph Kahn, who is a misogynistic asshole who probably yelled "karma" when she Kim got attacked

 

There is absolutely no way Taylor Swift is making light of Kim being robbed or Kanye West's mother's death. The sooner that discussion ends the better. Do I think Taylor is manipulating and conniving? Sure. Did she probably intentional release her music on Spotify the day Katy's album dropped? Certainly possible. Is she a downright evil person? No.

 

It doesn't even seem like Kanye and Kim care either.

Exactly, I've been calling her a phony for years but people are getting ridiculous with this

 

Some of the speculation around this album is just reaching epic levels of stupid.

 

Also I still don't believe the Kanye/Taylor feud is real at all. They are both artists who thrive by having their names constantly on our lips even when they're not promoting an album. All of it was set up from the start, realizing it would be mutually advantageous because it's still not really clear who was right or wrong.

 

Yea it's all really irritating to me and honestly kind of exhausting. We're really reaching for new levels of stupidity as a society if this is the type of thing we are going to spend this much energy on.

 

Like, Taylor is obviously petty, but she's not going to intentionally put out an album on the death anniversary of his mom, nor is she going to make light of Kim's robbery. That's just ridiculous.
