As I said before, Mine is the best cause for 3 or so minutes she fools you into believing that she's been poor or struggled financially at one point in her life which is a laughable thought.
Eh not one of my favorites from her. The lyrics bothered me. I like her more story driven stuff and this seemed pretty generic and too repetitive.
I think my biggest issue with this song is it reminds me so much of "The Louvre" and it's not nearly as good. Also, the chorus does sound like "Sexy and I Know It". Other than that, I don't get the big deal. It's not awful. I actually think it's fine. I bob my head a little more with each listen. The masses are freaking out because it's Taylor Swift but there's nothing really all that surprising about it to me.

I've just listened to this ten times in a row. And I still don't know if I like it all that much. She's a sorceress.
definitely gonna take some heat for this due to his many acolytes here but this thread sums up a lot of my thoughts re: antonoff and this new song:
this song is awful Shake It Off was awful too, but it turned out to be the worst of the 1989 singles We Are Never Getting Back Together was awful too, but it turned out to be the worst of the Red singles maybe the lead singles are all just awful cuz they'll stir up lots of buzz. I'm not cautious yet.
I will say that this is the first Taylor Swift lead single that I haven't wanted to hear again right away.
Weird argument. It makes a lot of assumptions about who is to "blame" for a song, and the main criticism is that the lyrics are vague? I don't even think I agree with that being a good criticism of lyrics in the first place.
