Camila is rly gonna face no consequences for her racist bs and it's rly annoying. Like sis didn't even get a slap on the wrist

 

She apologized twice, albeit the first time wasn't really an apology, and I truly think that she probably has learned a TON in 6 years and became a better person than when she was 15. Are you wanting a longer, more thought out apology or do you just want people to "cancel" her?

 

I think the fact that the racism was directed towards her own bandmates makes it way worse. It's still bad if it's just like generalized racism but if she can be so nasty to people she knows and are close to I wouldn't go near her with a ten foot pole. I wouldn't cancel her but like damn every big artist and producer cosigning her solo career without so much of a mention of it always rubs me the wrong way. Espesh since her and her fans tried to play it cute like she was bullied in the band when she was spouting that garbage. Like that makes me even question the sincerity of her apologies and she hasn't made enough amends for me personally to let it go. Fact that things didn't seem to end well between her and the others makes me question her amends to them as well.

I don't stan 5H either but I am rooting for Normani for having to deal with all that

 

I get all of that, I really do, but you don't think that over the 6 years things could change? I mean, people seem to generally like her these days from what I can tell. Even the 5H breakup, she has come out being the civil one. I dunno, I've never been deep into any of it either, but I always just want to believe the best in everyone hah

 

I mean i wouldn't be civil with her either if she said that about me lol. Given that she directed racism towards them and they still don't seem cool with her is a red flag against her to me. If they were cool with her I'd prob change my tune.

 

I think that is a fair point overall. BUT she also quit a girl group and left the 4 of them to fail, soooo it's entirely possible that they aren't cool with her because of that haha

 

I mean I'm sure it didn't help, but it's not Like camila was Beyonce either. Aside from their rabid stans 5H and their individual members didn't have a lot of name recognition. I feel like they had some big songs but were never a household name or anything with or without camila. So I feel like their chances of success with or without her were kinda equal. But I'm sure they were upset by a buildup given camila's behavior towards them and then her bailing also

 

Yeah honestly I'm sure it's dramatic in 100 other ways that we don't even know about, I just don't really want to assume one way or another. Overall I hope that Camila is a better person now than she was at 15 and in a perfect world her and the 5H girls would be friends again and everyone would be happy

 

Yeah I mean I always hope people change especially latina artists in the mainstream but the "victims" of her racism appearing to dislike her even before she left, and there was always weirdness, makes me hesitant to get on board with her. I mean that and I think her voice is appalling and shrill but that aside lol


And if I wasn't waiting for my guitar lesson to start I'd post that video of them singing Demi's Here We Go Again and their faces when Camila joins in lol

 

Haha, shrill is certainly a good word, I think I have seen that video too.

To her credit, I really dig her album haha, way less shrill than some of the scarier 5H videos I've seen.

Ill be at the philly show and if meek doesn’t make an appearance that will be a missed opportunity

 

Going to Atlanta and Future is from there and on End Game... but I don’t know that Taylor and Meek are two I can see being together.

 

I can’t either, I just thing it’s too much positive press to ignore that opportunity. His recent release, the way he’s beloved in that city, and that Taylor’s media team always seems on top of these kinds of things. Is it possible that Meek would rap futures lines on end game? I feel like that’s an option, but prob against some unwritten rules of rap

 

Yeah probably helps that she can sit and work on what works best for her voice instead of trying to stand out in a group. That's why I'm terrified for Christina and Demi's new song. I'm just picturing like a wailing competition to stand out but I hope I'm wrong ha

 

Looked up the venue on Instagram and this stage is massive. But looks smaller than the Formation tour one in pictures.
