in comparison to everyone else involved she did. she's always let the music speak first. there's a huge difference between her grammy speech and a bunch of obviously edited snapchat videos.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i think im just finding her constant victim shtick dull these days. i mean, yeah shes been on the receiving end of some crap but lets not pretend she doesnt dish it out herself
Wow she can literally take her sexual assaulter to trial and win and only a week later people are back to saying she loves to play the victim. Totally appropriate
There's not liking a song, and then there's the level people in this thread are taking it to. Saying she loves to be the victim is completely fucked up and just plain wrong.
the song is literally titled 'look what you made me do'..... aka its your fault not mine that im doing this. to me, that is playing the victim. what she did at her trial was incredible and i have a huge amount of respect for her but that doesnt mean shes now immune to criticism.
People can criticize her all they want, doesn't make it any less disgusting to use that particular phrase especially so soon after the trial. There is not one single lyric in the song where she "victimizes" herself, it's just a trope that people love to use to describe her without thinking about it. Doesn't even fit in this situation.
Never been a fan of her personally but have admitted to enjoying some of her songs in the past. That said, the new song really stinks.
Was thinking this while listening. Shake it Off and Never Ever.. are two of my least favorite TS songs, but as a whole I enjoyed both albums.
TMZ is floating the theory that Taylor purposefully is releasing the album 10 years to the day Kanye's mom died. We have truly crossed over to the dumbest timeline.
