  1. I told her, she's not budging. For being so smol, she is very deeply rooted on this one.

I still don't care for We Are Never but I did laugh after getting off the phone with my ex once cause I unintentionally quoted the lyrics. I mean it's kind of obnoxious of a song but she says that was intentional because she's an evil genius and wanted her ex to hear it everywhere and hate it, which ngl is how I'd use my power of fame lol

She looks like she’s having fun, and it’s nice to see her following up on the “eff you guys I’m gonna way carbs and stop wearing crop tops” thing. Wear comfy clothes on stage 2k17.

Really enjoying the record. So many catchy moments but also little moments where the music really connects with the listener. I totally understand why people worship this music.

  9. I never loved the original of "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" but her acoustic versions always make me wish they'd recorded it that way.

finally LWYMD live! I can finally sleep at night knowing she actually does the old Taylor line and it's not a recording

Idk idk I only watched the ready for it performance in that video but there's just nothing compelling about her performing. I'm not even gonna criticize her dancing because the camera often cut away from it, but like I guess I always expect more oomph and fire and it has never been there when I watch her televised performances at least. She's not connecting with me. I enjoyed her practical shoes tho. I need popstars wearing heels while performing to die.

  12. She's absolutely fantastic live when you're in person. At least for me and everyone else I know IRL who has been to one of her shows.

Idk. She's never sold me on any video I've seen so I don't think I'd be swayed but I'd be willing to find out if I ever acquired free tickets lol. I don't doubt she's fun to see because the staging and spectacle always looks wild. And if she played a stripped down show I would probably drop some $ cause she's more in her element with that. But I skimmed more of the video and she is lacking energy and looks like an opening act. I'm pretty picky with live performers tho. I've only known one person who has seen her and they said she was awful but that was also during her self titled era so I'm gonna make a leap here and assume she has improved since then haha.

I don't know how Ari doesn't twist her ankle every time she performs

I have mixed feelings about whether or not pop shows need to be spectacles or not

I def don't think they need to be spectacles. I think spectacles can be great if that is the kind of performing someone excels at, but there are other ways to do it. I feel like a lot of popstars rn get lost on stage in all of the spectacle because it isn't suited to their strengths. I think my favorite pop shows and shows in general haven't been spectacles and was just the performer having energy and charisma and looking like they love what they do. Their fire and passion was palpable and contagious and their presence alone carried the show.

And heels while dancing isn't very safe and could cause injury and just makes me nervous. Long live comfortable and practical footwear.

Low key love how petty Spotify is being with playlist placement because she waited three weeks to stream.

Meh. I've used almost every streaming service at this point and I don't hate it, which is hardly a complement, but being able to see what a lot of my friends/ followers listen to is a plus. I also like being able to see stream counts and artists' monthly listeners, even though those numbers really only matter when compared to the other numbers on Spotify.

I honestly don't think the free tier of Spotify will last much longer (a year or two maybe?)... but what do I know.
I guess they are trying to compete with Youtube on some level but that doesn't really seem like a winning battle.

I've only tried Spotify and apple music but apple music wasn't usable on my phone so I'm content with Spotify I suppose

I saw her live at a festival during the 1989 run and it was underwhelming (considering how much I love that album). Not really her ideal crowd setting though.

I'm watching the Jingle Bell performance and she seems way more comfortable being the ringleader of a big pop show. Major Hayley Williams vibes during the crowd work.

I hope she plays some festivals on this album cycle because it’s the only way I could afford to see her up close
