Really? That's crazy. I drove down to Seattle for the show at CenturyLink Field and I think my tickets were like $55 each, fees included.
Realized the other day that with another certain album no longer in contention, that this is probably my AOTY. Which isn’t what I expected when I first heard LWYMMD.
still doesn't work for me. the tracklist is up but only the released singles can be played. tay can you just throw me a bone so i can update my "t swift jamz" playlist?
Just caught up on the thread from the Saturday after the release. Have sat a ton with it since. I REALLY enjoy it as a whole even if some of the songs really bother me. "Look What You..." is the only choice for lead single but also my least favorite on the album. Should have been relegated to single bonus track area. Personally I love the second half of the album... minus one song. Maybe I'm just too big of a Kanye fan but I would have much preferred if she never said anything about him again in her songs. That second verse and forgiveness part ruin the song from being a favorite. The hook saves it from being a most hated track. One thing I really do like is how "New Years Day" sounds on the album. In the first part it sounds like I'm in the room with Taylor on NYD while she's playing on a big piano. I just really enjoy the "in love" Taylor. Most of my favorites of her come from that headspace. It's where she truly excels as a songwriter. Anyways I'm excited to see "End Game" be everywhere and how the ticket sales go next week. Still unsure about making the trip to Pasadena.
I saw somewhere that she might have pushed the End Game radio plan to January instead of now, who knows
every one of her videos on the making of the songs ive heard so far has made me like them more, except King of my heart. Somehow that one made me like it even less lol. But she needs to do one of those videos on like every song she's ever released
It’s on Spotify now so it’s my first time listening. I’m actually annoyed by how much I like End Game rn Edit: wait, searching now, do people not like End Game? Song is a damn bop
Late pass because I’m listening to the whole thing on Spotify for the first time My issue with this is less about her pivoting to this big synth pop and more that the insurumentals behind her vocals are just mostly very boring. It just gets loud in place of doing anything fun.
it just doesn't have much by the way of personality in the instrumentals. she just sounds like any other well produced pop artist. a shame, but her hooks are still sick.
Her vocals are also so fucking good on this record that it at least partially makes up for the backing tracks not being all that interesting.
On my first listen- first 2 songs are garbage, "I Did Something Bad" is okay, "Don't Blame Me" was pretty good, and now I'm on "Delicate"...
