i fucking hate this tactic

 

I learned from the Folklore rollout to never buy the first available T Swift vinyl.

 

You can tell the track names are on the covers but quality is too low to figure out

 

A post I made in a separate thread nearly two years ago haha. This was happening to me constantly and is in part why I generally avoid pre-orders anymore, especially first wave ones. At least the first wave one of this actually still looks awesome

 

Oooo the mahogany one is nice

 

i still stand by the standard folklore cover being the best of the 8. with this, the alternate covers are definitely better than the previous batch (the mahogany one is the best of those 3), but i'm not gonna go out and cancel my existing order for a cash grab.

 

I think I’m leaning towards jade green…seems the most vibey

I wish I felt this way, haha. It's second to jade green for me, but oh well. I'll wear my clown makeup with my original announcement drop.

 

Went with blood moon, did like the jade green but the folklore color variant I have is close to that so had to switch it up

 

Yeah but when are these new variants going to appear on the UK store Taylor?

 

Ordered blood moon, maybe one of these days I should get a record player

 

I'm sure you could cancel your order and order the variant you want, if you feel very strongly about it.

Very dumb not to just put all of these up at the same time, though.

 

I don't, haha. I'm sure this will also continue my trend of being annoyed that records from bigger artists don't come with a mp3 download card, too. Last four Taylor haven't and Beyonce didn't.

 

At this point, given that most of this shit is delayed, I'd rather have a download arrive in my inbox on release day. But yes, I know what you mean. Very annoying. I think most artists/labels just assume that nobody uses files anymore, which is probably mostly true, but I use them!

 

I use a memory stick for all my music in my car. Files are very important to me! Especially because I don't have unlimited data or a streaming service.

 

These vinyls won’t ship anyways until, what, next March right? Hahaha

 

Yeah, I use files on all my runs, which, as you can imagine, is A LOT of listening time.

Site says they ship on release day. We'll see if that's true or not, but my guess is that she made sure to plan the release date based on when they could get vinyl, given how that impacts sales.

 

Oh nice, yeah I'm sure by this point (I assume) some new vinyl plants have been built to take advantage of how much vinyl demand has taken place over the last few years

 

I think the more likely scenario is that like Adele, she got moved to the front of the line.

 

Psyched. Just bought the Jade Green.

 

Taylor should build her own vinyl plant that specializes in her stuff, plus like runs for her friends in HAIM and such.
