I'm sure some Swiftie somewhere is theorizing how this is Jack and Taylor's album and there's an Aaron and Taylor one coming later today.
Starting the 3 AM tracks. The Great War is great and Dessner’s production definitely still feels like it fits with the vibe of the album overall.
Yeah that’s still my favorite also. Saw Sounwave co-produced that one and Karma (as well as Glitch from the bonus tracks) and those are giving me Red Hearse vibes.
Two tracks in: People think there are no hooks in this? Three tracks in: This entire song is a hook come on
My initial impression is fairly mixed on this. I like some of the stuff, some other stuff is extremely not my sh*t. As usual, i’m going to spend more time with it to see how it grows, or doesn’t.
On the whole, through both versions, it just seems flat to me. Production is lacking to me. Maybe something will click with more listens but this one doesn't click for me right now. Happy for y'all that love it, though.
this album is a lot more minimalistic than we're used to from her, for sure. especially with her poppier stuff.
Kind of weird to say because I think Jack had a huge hand in songwriting too, so one doesn't come without the other as far as these songs go.
I haven't listened to this yet but I've seen multiple tiktoks of the "sexy baby" Line and all the swifties in the comments being like "guys apparently it's a reference to a show called 30 rock! Search Twitter for the deets okay stop making fun of it, it's apparently a reference!!" And it's killing me lmao
Huge hand to the point that almost all of these songs have him listed in Apple Music on the track listing. So rarely see that so he's getting major residuals from this one.
