People wonder why she doesn't do meet & greets anymore, or invite fans into her home anymore, or engage with the fandom more on a personal level like in years prior. THIS IS WHY.
I remember watching the news on January 6 and seeing the rioters getting closer and closer to the Capitol, and being up on the windows, right at the door, etc. all the while the congress folks were inside still extremely vulnerable. This picture reminds me a lot of that, in terms of how fucking close some of these people are to the venue (right up at the windows), and how everyone (not just Taylor) attending the rehearsal is in such a vulnerable state at that moment. I just hope no one ends up hurt, especially since the wedding is tomorrow and these folks probably know where it is going to be held.
hilarious is the word you’re looking for. also wouldn’t be surprised if she canceled it after the Antonoff thing because she likes the national and is abhorred at what her fans are doing to other people’s special moments.
I have to imagine they only hope to get a glimpse of her? Unless they really think she'll be like "oh hey guys this is so cool let's take some photos!" I remember a sorta similar thing happening when Britney spears came to my small town for a personal event yeeeears ago. Everyone wanted to drive up there and get a glimpse of her I guess to say they saw her? Must feel like you're a zoo animal or something
This is so sad and I feel bad for her. She shouldnt have to deal with that especially being at a friends wedding
Ts11 will have song called “this is why we can’t have nice things part 2” and it will partially be about what happened last night And how it’s not acceptable to do what all those people did. I hope she addresses it and says how wrong it is that all those people showed up
It reminds me of when Paramore performed here like 6-7 years ago and some fans caught wind that Hayley was at the movies or maybe the mall or something, so they waited outside for her. In the kindest way, she chastised them at the concert, saying basically “I’m a person who feels intimidated and scared when there’s a bunch of people waiting outside for me in the dark. Don’t do that. It’s not cool.”
I’m sure that entire area today will be blocked off and the only people that will have access is residents that live in the area and the people attending the wedding/wedding reception or whatever they where doing last night there for today
What do people hope to accomplish by doing this? Genuine question. Is it really just getting a glimpse of a person walking by?
I think also hoping you'll get a selfie or convo but I would hope they're just smart enough to know she can't possibly do that for hundreds of people at once
seeing this makes me think that artists who play with masks on the from the start of their career so they don’t lose their anonymity really have things figured out
Mushroomhead had it figured out the best though, I wouldn’t recognize them with their masks on or off. what thread is this again?
This whole conversation ignores the beauty standard pressure applied to women but not men. A woman in a mask would never have a career
