Third party. I work shows in Dallas and Austin usually. But also Denver and Phoenix. Possibly L.A. later this year.
Lit was my first live show with the Offspring in 99 (Jul 17, 1999: The Offspring / Lit / The Dickies at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre Los Angeles, California, United States | Concert Archives) and then I saw them a second time in 2018 with Sugar Ray at a tiny club in Pasadena, CA that used to be a grocery store (https://www.jambase.com/show/sugar-ray-the-rose-20181103). At the 2018 show, they brought Art Alexakis onstage to sing a song and the guitarist started playing Santa Monica as a joke and Art either did an incredible job of pretending to be upset or he actually was not happy about the idea of being surprise pressured into singing one of his hits. It was fun/weird hearing both SR and Lit play their rad 90s alt-rock bangers mixed in with their lounge-y cruise ship children’s music (SR) and country pop songs (Lit). Anyway, I played that song for my wife without telling her it’s a mashup and she was legit bummed when the first verse started and it wasn’t the Lit original.
Seeing her in Tampa next weekend and now you’re saying I have a chance? My wife won’t be happy about it but I’m sure she’ll understand.
