I actually saw some of the Titans season tickets blocked off in the Nashville sale, so this doesn’t surprise me.

most of the time when artists do verified fan 100% of the tickets go to verified fan and other presales and there's nothing left for general onsale

 

My understanding is that it’s not 100% because then they’d be sued. But it’s like 1-2% leftover at best.

Ya I've never really believed that there are still tix for general on sale after verified fan presale. I think they usually say like "as inventory allows" or whatever. So I mean the only good thing they've done is at least admit that this time. But it's funny cus they basically have to admit oh yea you never had a chance if we didn't send you a code

 

Came here to say this. Wouldn’t surprise me if they sold half to themselves for this BS.

 

To be fair, I got a ticket to Billie Eilish’s tour back in March in the general on sale after not being selected for verified fan, so it can happen. Although demand for that tour was not as high as it is for this tour, honestly.

 

If she had a smart team she'd donate the leftovers to Make-A-Wish or a similar charity to try to beat back some of the bad press.

 

I'm shocked I have tickets for the first night of the tour. I won't even be able to spoil the setlist on Setlist.fm or anything! haha

 

People are going to point fingers at Taylor/her team for this fiasco, but it's not their fault that Ticketmaster can't handle Taylor fucking Swift. Like, what were they expecting to happen? They're site has crashed from much smaller acts presales too...

They should have staggered it all up by time zone or something. Presale day 1: only shows on the west coast, day 2: mountain, day 3: central, day 4: east coast. But nooooo!

 

Yes, the two biggest OBVIOUS things they should have done was stagger the on-sale times more and then, for Capital One, require people to put the code in before even getting in the queue. Such obvious solutions that wouldn't have entirely prevented this, but made it better.

 

She and her team are not innocent in this. They knew demand would be insane.

 

well, obviously they knew it would be insane. we all did. but Ticketmaster/Seat Geek should have been prepared, or at least been like "ok, this is going to be crazy, so this is how we're gonna do it..."

haha sorry. i'm just shocked about all of this, and grateful that my wife was chosen for the pre-sale, because i wasn't. haha.

 

There is a conversation to be had about the simple fact that there were not enough tickets for everyone. Does Taylor owe it to us to ensure we get to see her live? Idk Not saying this to defend ticketmaster even a little because the way they handled it was still abysmal and a total failure on all parts, and Taylor's team still shares blame too. But even if the sale was staggered for every city, went perfectly smoothly, and there was more transparency throughout the whole process. The fact remains that not everyone would've gotten tickets. The only thing that would help that is cracking down on scalpers, and that part I don't really put much blame on Taylor for (not any more than any other artist). (Feels like I'm rambling just trying to unpack this all lol)

 

Ummm Jayda G did one of the remixes and she’s one of the most exciting queer female artists in techno.

Illenium just did one as well, not my vibe, but he’s a massive draw on the electronic scene. Regularly playing multiple nights at Red Rocks.

 

Only reason why the finger pointing is going towards taylor is because of her silence. I hope to hell she's just as pissed off as us.
