That version of Love Story will always win. Also, I kinda love the behind the scenes stuff going on in that rehearsal video. "These shoes are too big."
So how does updating help her regain control of those songs? I want her to own every song she has ever written. Would she only own the new versions? Honest question about how this works. But wouldn’t a lot of movies/commercials/etc (licensing) ??? also prefer the original versions? But yes I want new versions of everything as well.
@radiodead you're correct that this does nothing to "re-gain" her masters or the existing songs. What this does is essentially a) give her fanbase a way to stream the songs without supporting Big Machine and b) allows her to use the songs themselves anywhere and everywhere she would want, without big machine profiting
Idk I’d be down for some slight updates. Like you can always listen to the originals if those are the ones you prefer.
So the version of me I have on my phone still has the spelling is fun but I didn’t have it downloaded on my laptop and when I did download it it’s the new version without the spelling is fun
If I ran social media for the Spelling Bee, I would make some sort of joke about going to war with Taylor over spelling being fun. But I don't, unfortunately.
I’d like acoustic versions of some of the later stuff and 1989 versions of the early stuff. I think that would take a nice cut into the original recordings.
If he produced All Too Well the way he produced the new Lana Del Rey stuff, I could see it working quite well
Inside me there are two wolves... One is Lover, the other is Caligula... Today I am feeding Lover. But actually yes, I’ve been laughing at the dissonance all week :’)
There are definitely some songs on Red I’d love to see how Jack would handle them...All Too Well definitely isn’t one of them.
Hey hey hey I said nothing about improving! The writing is perfect. It’d just be interesting for sure. Love everything they do together
