Glad P4k reviewed the albums. Don't really agree with 1989 but I get it. I also wish they would re-review reputation, but it was so recent, so makes sense. I can't focus on anything but Tay this week, it's killing me.

My wife and I are always singing "big reputation, big reputation" around the house, haha. One of my favourite things.

 

I definitely get passing on it for this reason, but 1) I’m sure they could have found a writer; 2) what changed between 1989 and Reputation, other than Taylor backlash heating up and making a mixed/negative review “safer”?; 3) why then turn around a year later and review the Ryan Adams version?

Also, her tweet seems to presuppose that the review would have been negative, but 1989 made their end of the year list that year.

yeah, the issue has nothing to do with Meaghan at all and more that Pitchfork found like, one woman, asked if she wanted to write about it, and dropped it without another thought when she said no.

Sad though because I would actually love Meaghan's take on Taylor in general, her writing is consistently some of my favorite music writing.

I actually really like Shake It Off but the bridge has never grown on me in the past 5 years. I still feel secondhand embarrassment every time haha

 

"Shake It Off" is wonderful and is one of the all-time great wedding dance floor songs.

 

I'll be honest "Shake It Off" is what really got me into Taylor Swift

We Are Never Getting Back Together won me over from a general indifference towards her. Red was a delight.

 

This was me. But then I also dove deep backwards into the catalogue.

 

So there's no reason to preorder this, right? Last time I did for the tour presale access, but it doesn't look like there's a benefit this time around. I'll just go to Target after I hear what's on each of the versions.

 

I was never anti-Taylor, but "Mine" was the song that made me a fan.

 

i was sorta familiar with "love story" from the radio and kinda liked it but "fifteen" and then "white horse" got me fully into taylor

 

I didn't really feel very strongly until Red was getting all the hype on AP and I checked out State of Grace and was like woah

 

I've always liked her songs but found her extra and annoying at times, no real wow moment for me

 

Got super into Taylor during Fearless back in the day but being a boy in high school, I was very secretive about that fact.
