I actually find that term offensive to soldiers who served and died in battle, but hey, that’s just me.
"I don't get a fan inserting their own narrative" says person inserting his own narrative over a pop artist who has years of experiences with the person being discussed "People are allowed to have different opinions based on their own experiences and the nice part of a discussion forming is to share opinions" says person who only thinks people should share their opinions if their opinion isn't "your opinion is not only terrible but is actively harmful and here's why" "I tried to convey what I’m trying to say at your request I always respectfully read polite responses" says person who ignores All The Women "Sincerely hope for long terms artists sake though, people can work out better deals to keep their material if they want. More established bands stand a better chance" says person who somehow failed to see that that was the point lots of us were making as to why this matters THE WHOLE DAMN TIME because T Swift is THE DEFINITION OF ESTABLISHED
The funniest part is that he still hasn't @'d any of you who were giving him constructive criticism but can still take the time to write an entire wall of text that is ultimately saying nothing at all. What that suggests to me is that he is clearly not interested in evolving on this subject and we are all wasting our time even answering at this point.
I'd ask where he stood re: women soldiers but he probably can't see their names so doesn't know they exist damn girly font, keeping a nice guy like that down
The real disappointment is that all those soldiers died just so I had to listen to the obnoxious opinions of men so enveloped in toxic masculinity they believe their opinion matters no matter the time or place.
Are we at the point where we can at least thread ban K from here? @Jason Tate has the criteria been met here?
For having different opinions? I don’t use inappropriate language. I am not posting inappropriate content. I don’t have a second fake account. I am not representing an outside source.
Well having nice conversations with people is a positive influence. I generally talk about bands I like here. If you would all like me to limit it to that, then that’s fine. I came into this thread to offer my experience working Scott. It just happens to be it’s different then Taylor’s much longer and more experience. If I came in here saying I’ve worked with him and he’s a total jerk from what I saw, I feel people would have liked to hear that.
All I can think about is the scenes from Airplane! where Ted keeps talking and talking and the camera pans over and the other person is dead/dying from having to listen to him
No. One. Gives. A. Fuck. No one! No one cares you had a nice business experience with him! He fucked Taylor over, and that vastly outweighs whatever tiny ass moment you shared with him. If my friend robbed a bank and punched a baby, I wouldn’t say “well, I’ve never seen them rob a bank or punch a baby, and they were always nice to me!” I’d listen to the people who actually had a negative experience! It so simple my dude.
Do you actually need to have the concept of context explained to you? Sharing a singular anecdotal experience with a powerful man who a woman has said mistreated her is a tale as old as time of "good dude backed hard". It's universal, but especially so in music. If you'd said he was rude to you, it wouldn't have had the same affect. True. That's not because people are stanning, it's because IT ISN'T THE SAME THING AND OUR WORDS AND ACTIONS DON'T EXIST IN A VACUUM. But either way, your opinion on this person based on your very brief dealings with them would've been worthless next to hers.
That’s what no one cares about. Your different experience is diminishing and I don’t understand how you’re this blind and ignorant.
Also, so you can't simply ignore it: Do you actually need to have the concept of context explained to you?
